My philosophy about art is simple. In a world of chaos and insanity, there needs to be an escape. Art is my escape. I avoid the violent and the ugly by attempting to create images and scenes that serve as a resting place for others, a retreat from the disorder and pandemonium that surrounds us and rules our lives.

My style is traditional. I try to recreate a favorite place or moment in time that evokes joy and conjures peace. To me, art can still make a statement or tell a story and does not necessarily have to be controversial, confusing, or opinionated. When others view my work, I hope to communicate goodness, serenity, peacefulness, and the joy that comes from embracing life's simplicity and beauty. My goal as an artist is to show people that good exists in the world, you just have to find it.
