I've been an artist most of my life. I remember painting watercolors from an early age. I never was without crayons, paper, watercolors, or pencils, thanks to my mom who was also a late blooming artist. I continued through middle school, high school, and college. But most of my art education came by observing life, objects, light, and color. I continue to paint, learn, and grow.
I painted with watercolor, then oil paints. One house I lived in did not have good ventilation in my basement studio. My mom got me a set of acrylic tube paints. I was hooked on their versatility and many vibrant colors. I paint in a mostly traditional manner, but I've developed a few of my own tricks to managing acrylic paints. I still p

I find my inspiration in many places, in color, light, favorite subjects, or from flashes or dreams. Nature is usually in the forefront of my thoughts and plans, it's an endless stream of possibilities.
